Two KCMO men face charges after JoCo Bank Robbery
The Prairie Village Police Department and the FBI say a black male, wearing women's clothing and a second black male were arrested after the US Bank at 6940 Mission Road was robbed this afternoon. Police say the robbery occurred at 2:15p.m..
Bank employees described the robber as a man dressed in woman's clothing. That man is said to have entered the bank, demanded money and then fled after employees handed over some cash.
An FBI spokesperson says that a vehicle seen leaving the area, just after the robbery, was spotted by Prairie Village Police. Police initiated a traffic stop of that vehicle and one person fled on foot. Both the driver of the vehicle and the passenger who attempted to flee on foot were quickly taken into custody.
Two Kansas City, Missouri men have been booked into the Johnson County Jail and face Robbery charges. Both men are currently being held without bond and awaiting arraignment on the charges.
