Leawood Police and the FBI are investigating an armed robbery at the M&I Bank at 8840 State Line Road. Police say the robbery was reported to them at 11:46 a.m. Tuesday morning. Shortly before that Police say a man entered the bank armed with a gun and demanded money. How much money the man got away with remains under investigation
There were reported to be two male suspects involved. Only one of the men is reported to have entered the bank, the second man was driving the get away vehicle. The man who entered the bank is said to have been a black male, medium to slender build, in his 40's and wearing a Halloween mask. The second man, the driver, was described as a black male who was also wearing a stocking cap.
The suspect vehicle is reported to be a silver Dodge, possibly an Intrepid. That vehicle did not have a rear license plate and was last seen traveling eastbound on 95th Street from State line road into Kansas City, Missouri.
