For the past 23 years, an annual Candlelight Vigil is held at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. The Candlelight Vigil is traditionally held on May 13th, regardless of the day of the week on which it falls. Every six or seven years, May 13th falls prior to the official start of National Police Week, as it did in 2011. View Photos from this year's Candlelight Vigil
