I specialize in covering Douglas and Johnson counties. Time after time, I have covered and broke the breaking news stories that the rest of the local media has missed out on for hours. Covering only two counties allows me to pay more attention to the activity that may start small but then quickly and quietly escalate to something much more serious. I have reported Police Department confirmed "suspicious death investigations" hours before anyone else, along with deadly accidents, shootings, house fires and many more examples listed below on this page.

While most are listening to the same crime night after night in Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas I am covering the areas that are within the Kansas City news market which have been repeatedly neglected from receiving true real time breaking news coverage.

The others will tell you they are the place to turn to when news breaks in Douglas or Johnson County. Operation 100 News is the only place that consistently proves we are the only ones on top of breaking news in this area. See a few of the many examples below..

History of Operation 100 News:

I have lived in Johnson County since 1985, monitored Police Departments, Sheriff's Office, Fire Departments and Med-Act activity countywide since 1996. I have monitored countywide events in Douglas, Leavenworth and Miami counties since 2002. Over the years I have built many personal contacts throughout the Law Enforcement & Fire community. I have attended Johnson County Community College for Administration of Justice.

I personally used to call various KC television news outlet's news desks and provide them with details from my sources or from my being on scene. This was almost always a one sided arrangement. Very few realized the potential assistance that Operation 100 News could provide. These arrangements ceased in May 2010 but, are still available by contract only.
