Shawnee Police are investigating this morning after a car crashed into the front of a house in the 13500 block of Blackfish Parkway just before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police on the scene tell Operation 100 News that it appears the driver was eastbound on Blackfish Parkway when the vehicle left the roadway several times before the accident.

A neighbor says the homeowner called Police after hearing the crash and then finding a car crashed through their garage door. A "younger man" was driving according to that same neighbor. The driver was not injured and was placed in the backseat of a Police car when officers arrived. The driver was not handcuffed and appeared to be cooperating with the investigation.

Police say that the driver is a 26-year-old, who was cooperative with their investigation and admitted to "driving recklessly." The driver received several citations including; reckless driving, speeding and a seat belt violation. He was released at the scene.

Shawnee Fire says the house was heavily damaged and confirms that no one was injured in the accident.
