Police in Shawnee are investigating after several storage lockers were found burglarized this morning.
Around 3 a.m., an officer was checking businesses in the 22100 block of W. 83rd Street when he discovered a partially opened storage locker.
Shawnee Police Lieutenant Doug Orbin says, "further investigation revealed that several lockers had been entered with forced entry."
Radio traffic at the time indicated possibly as many as 30 lockers had been burglarized. Lieutenant Orbin says, "the investigation is ongoing and the information on the total number of lockers entered, and items missing, is still being gathered."

This story was first reported in our Twitter feed shortly after police discovered the crime and determined that there were not suspects remaining at the scene.
