Lenexa Police are investigating after two men robbed a hotel near Interstate 435 and Lackman early Friday.

Officers were dispatched just before 1:40 a.m. to the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, 15151 West 101st Terrace.

Master Police Officer Danny Chavez says there were two suspects, both men wearing bandanas over their faces and armed with handguns.

"The suspects demanded money from the clerk, as one jumped the counter and pulled out the cash drawer," Chavez says. "After emptying the cash drawer, the suspects left the scene."

Both suspects were wearing light or gray sweatpants, hooded shirts, and dark jackets. Both were wearing gloves with white bandannas over their faces. One suspect's jacket is branded with the ROCAWEAR logo on the back.

Responding officers set a perimeter in the area and a K-9 unit deployed for a search. Officer Chavez confirms no suspects were located during the search."

No injuries were reported.
