Three people shot during disturbance at Antioch Park

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office confirms they are investigating after three people were shot during a disturbance at Antioch Park in Merriam on Sunday evening. The park is located at 6501 Antioch Road.

In a news release, Deputy Rick Howell says Johnson County Park Police were dispatched to the park at about 7:45 p.m. on a reported disturbance involving a weapon.

"Three victims with gunshot wounds were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries," Dep. Howell said in the release. "This is an ongoing investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff's Office."

No other details have been provided.
