Roeland Park Police are investigating after a vehicle struck a pedestrian, and fled from the scene. Police say the accident occurred around 1:50 a.m., near the intersection of 48th Street and Roe Boulevard.
Johnson County Med-Act reported the victim to be a male in his "mid 30's" with serious injuries. Witnesses to the accident tell Investigators that the collision threw the man about 20-30 feet.
The suspect vehicle, only described as a yellow or orange hatchback, was last seen southbound on Roe Boulevard. Police say the vehicle will have "significant damage to the front end and likely a damaged windshield."
