Man shot outside Lenexa Pub

Lenexa Police are investigating a shooting that is believed to have occurred in the south parking lot of Saint's Pub & Patio in the 9700 block of Quivira Road around 1:45 a.m. Thursday morning.

Police were called to investigate reports of shots fired in the parking lot. When they arrived several witnesses advised that just after they heard the gunshots several vehicles were seen leaving southbound on Quivira Road. Lenexa Officers followed a vehicle matching the description of one of the involved vehicles while other officers at Saints gathered additional information.

Police did not locate anyone with injuries in the Lenexa parking lot.

Johnson County Med-Act and Overland Park Fire Department were dispatched to the area of Interstate 435 and Nall Avenue on reports of a gunshot victim in a black Range Rover. Leawood Police were first to arrive and confirmed that there was a subject suffering from a gunshot wound in the Range Rover near 110th Street and Nall Avenue. The vehicle is reported to have crashed near the intersection, the shooting victim was a passenger in the vehicle.

The victim was transported by Med-Act to an area hospital in critical condition. As of 4p.m. Thursday, Police say the victim is in stable condition.

Police are not releasing many details as this is an ongoing investigation. They will only say that several people were questioned about the incident.

The suspect is believed to have been a passenger in a silver Chevrolet Malibu, which was seen fleeing southbound on Quivira just after the shots were fired.
