Suspicious death investigation in Lenexa

Updated Story: Dominic Camacho has been arrested and charged with First-degree murder in his wife's death. He is being held on $1,000,000 bond. Prosecutors allege that Dominic Camacho strangled his wife, Leslie Camacho, to death inside their Lenexa home early Wednesday morning.

Lenexa Police are investigating a suspicious death this morning in the 13000 block of West 94th Place.

Police say they were called to an address in the 13000 block of West 94th Place before 2 a.m., Wednesday, after receiving a report of a possible Domestic Disturbance. When Officers arrived they found a woman, later identified as, 35-year-old, Leslie Ann Camacho, dead inside the home. Camacho's husband was found in the home and was taken to Lenexa Police Headquarters for questioning.

Johnson County Med-Act responded to the scene shortly after 2 a.m.. One person was reported to be deceased at the address.

Officers secured the home until a search warrant could be obtained. Johnson County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene shortly before noon, Wednesday, when the search warrant arrived.
