Lenexa Police looking for suspect in Thursday Armed Robbery

Lenexa Police is seeking the public's assistance in looking for the suspect involved in an armed robbery and shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 23rd Lenexa Police were called to 7753 Quivira Road. Upon arrival Officers located the store's owner, a 71-year-old Overland Park resident, suffering from a serious but non-life threatening gunshot wound to the back. He was transported to an area hospital by Johnson County Med-Act where he remains listed in stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a black male in his mid 20's, standing 5 feet and 6 inches, thin build. He was last seen wearing a knee-length white t-shirt, ankle-length gray shorts and a dark baseball cap. This suspect was armed with an unknown type handgun.

Detectives would also like to speak with an additional person of interest, described as a black female in her mid 20's, with red or pink highlights in her hair. She was last seen wearing shorts and has a prominent tattoo on her upper thigh, possibly large lettering. She was last seen driving a dark color 1990s model vehicle, possibly a Honda.
