Merriam Police trying to locate two stray dogs.

The Merriam Police Department is trying to locate two stray dogs that were involved in two separate dog bite incidents on Sunday, June 12th. The dog bites occurred in the 10100 block of West 48th Street between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m.

The dogs have been described as a German Sheppard mix and a black lab mix and have been seen running at large in the area of 48th Street and Switzer Road.

The black lab mix is reported to have bitten an 11-year-old boy on the leg while he was playing in front of a house on 48th Street and a jogger who was running along 48th Street.

Merriam Police are asking anyone with any information to call Police and ask to speak with CSO Yocum or Gilchrist.
