Johnson County Quik Trip robbed

Overland Park Police are investigating after a man held up the Quik Trip gas station and convenience store on Shawnee Mission Parkway just to the west of Metcalf Avenue this morning.

Police were called to the store, 7400 Shawnee Mission Parkway just before 3:10 a.m.. The clerk told Police that a black male entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect is only described as a black male. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, dark colored pants and a mask. The man is said to be armed with a silver handgun. He fled through the rear door of the business and was last seen running northbound.

Police established a perimeter and searched the area with a K-9. As of this report, no arrests have been reported.
