Several early morning burglaries in Johnson County

Leawood Apple Store burglarized with help of a vehicle

Leawood Police are investigating a burglary at the Apple Store early this morning.

Police say they responded on a burglary alarm at 2:40 a.m.. Arriving officers found a vehicle backed into the front of the Apple Store at 4529 W. 119th Street #283. Authorities suspect the vehicle to be stolen.

Police say no arrests have been made and the vehicle has been towed from the scene.



Lenexa business burglarized

Lenexa Police were are also investigating a burglary this morning.

Police say they responded on a burglary alarm around 3 a.m. in the 11400 block of Strang Line Road. Arriving officers found that front glass on the building was damaged enough for someone to have possibly made entry.

Officers established a perimeter in the area before clearing the interior of the building.

A K-9 unit from the Olathe Police Department also responded to assist in the search. No one was found inside the business or in the surrounding area. No arrests have been made.


Prairie Village auto burglaries

Prairie Village Police were called to the area of 78th Street and Roe Avenue around 3:45 a.m..

Police located several vehicles which were burglarized within a four block area.

Officers requested assistance from the Shawnee Police Department's K-9 unit and one additional patrol unit from the Fairway Police Department. Officers determined that there was no loss worth deploying the K-9 in a search for.

Police conducted a vehicle stop near 75th Street and Delmar Street which was suspected to be related to the auto burglaries. Officers checked three juvenile occupants and eventually released them to their parents. Police did not make any arrests.
