Officials say the call was dispatched shortly after 1 a.m. at 9350 Metcalf Avenue. Fire crews arrived to report heavy fire showing from the roof of an 11 floor office building. A high-rise alarm was immediately dispatched.

Overland Park Fire Department spokesperson Jason Rhodes says fire crews made access to the roof and quickly knocked down a fire in a rooftop cooling unit. Firefighters spend about an additional hour conducting overhaul operations and making sure the fire was completely extinguished.
