Master Deputy Tom Erickson says the courthouse, located at 125 N. Cherry Street in Olathe, was evacuated after receiving a bomb threat.

Shortly before 2 p.m., deputies received a report of "explosive material" inside the building. Deputies immediately began an evacuation of the building.

Sheriff's Deputies and Olathe Fire personnel searched the building and blocked streets in the area.

In a news release early Monday evening, Master Deputy Erickson said the search ended with no evidence of explosive material being located.

No one was injured.

The courthouse will be open as usual on Tuesday.
