Douglas County authorities are investigating after a man was stabbed late Thursday.
At 11:35 p.m., Eudora Police and Fire Medical crews were called to the Grandview Mobile Home Park, 510 E. 10th Street in Eudora. There officers located a man with a chest laceration. He claimed that an ex-girlfriend had cut him inside her Lawrence home and he drove himself to Eudora.
Lawrence Police were sent to the Brookwood Mobile Home Park, 1908 E. 19th Street, where they were able to contact the alleged suspect.
Medics reported the victim's injury to be critical and he was rushed to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The victim has only been described as a, 44-year-old, man with a laceration to the left side of his chest.
Operation 100's news partners at the Lawrence Journal-World reports that police arrested Virginia June Goff, 43, at 2:44 a.m. Friday at the mobile home on E. 19th Street.
Lawrence Police Department Sgt. Trent McKinley tells the Journal-World the incident was described to them [police] as a domestic violence.
