Overland Park Police were called to the Best Western hotel, 7200 West 107th Street just after midnight to investigate an armed disturbance.

Recorded radio traffic indicates officers arrived at the hotel to learn both the suspect and victim had left the scene before officers could get there.

Witnesses told officers that the victim was transported to an area hospital by someone else who was at the hotel. His condition has not been released.

Information broadcasts aired by neighboring police departments stated a name and vehicle description for the stabbing suspect.

Overland Park Police have not released any information to the media and have not responded to requests for comment.
