Olathe Police say they were called to the Wal-Mart, 395 N. K-7 Highway at 11:57 Sunday night on a reported bomb threat.
Officers contacted an employee who reported the store had received a call from an unknown person who stated there was a bomb in the store. The store was immediately evacuated and the Olathe Fire Department's K-9 was used to check the interior of the store.
Nothing was found during the search and the store was reopened at 2:03 Monday morning, according to a statement from Olathe Police.
The incident remains under investigation by the Olathe Police Department. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Olathe Police at 913-971-6950 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
As of this report, there have been no reports of any similar calls at other area Walmart stores as there was back in July of this year. Previous story on threats received at three Kansas Walmart stores.
