Two juveniles arrested after aggravated burglary in Olathe

Posted: January 4, 2019 - 11:23 a.m.

Olathe Police say they arrested two juvenile males after responding on a reported aggravated burglary on Thursday afternoon.

Sergeant Logan Bonney says officers responded to a home in the 23400 block of West 126th Terrace at 2:57 p.m.

This is in the area of 126th Terrace and Canyon Drive.

A resident told officers suspects had forced entry into the home and stole items.

"While officers were investigating, they learned of two attempted burglaries in the same area," Sgt. Bonney said. "Additional officers responded to the area to search for suspects which led to the arrest of two juvenile males."

By Kansas statute, an aggravated burglary is the unlawful entering of a structure or vehicle that is occupied.

No injuries were reported in the burglary or the subsequent search.

Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone who may have information to call them at 913-971-6950 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
