Olathe Officer Involved Shooting

Story Update: The stabbing victim remains in Critical condition at a local hospital this morning.

Original Story:
At approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March, 29th Olathe Police were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of N. Logan Street after a report of an armed disturbance.

The first Officer to arrive was confronted by an armed man, who was assaulting another man inside the house. The Officer shot the armed man, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The assaulted victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for multiple stab wounds sustained during the initial incident.

No other injuries were reported.

The Officer involved in the shooting will be placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation by the Johnson County Mult-Jurisdictional Officer Involved Shooting Investigation Team. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call 913-895-6300.

Also includes an OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING. The subject that was shot is DECEASED and unable to confirm if that subject is the Stabbing Suspect. No injuries reported by Officers.
