Threat discovered at Olathe South High School

Olathe School District officials and Police are investigating a messages found at Olathe South High School, 1640 E. 151st Street.

Police say a student discovered the message just before 1 p.m., Thursday, written on restroom stall. The message referred to blowing up the school on Friday, December 7th.

Olathe Police say "the safety and security of students and staff are a primary concern and we are working closely with the Olathe School District to investigate the incident."

Classes will go on as scheduled. Police say they will have extra officers in and around the school.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Olathe Police Department at 913-971-6950 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477 (TIPS).
