Overland Park bank robbery

UPDATED STORY: Missouri man charged

The Overland Park Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) are investigating a bank robbery at the First National Bank located at 9700 Metcalf Avenue. The incident is said to have occurred shortly after 9:20 Tuesday morning.

The suspect is described as a slender white male, standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches. He was last seen on foot running westbound, wearing sunglasses and a bandanna.

Overland Park Police say the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money. The suspect was last seen on foot carrying an undisclosed amount of cash in a plastic grocery bag.

No injuries were reported.
