Lenexa Police asking for the public's assistance in Sunday hold up

Lenexa Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the man that held up a BP gas station at 10700 west 87th Street shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday.

Police were called to the gas station at about 11:45 p.m. after the suspect had fled the scene. The suspect is reported to have displayed a silver handgun and demanded cash from the register. The employee complied and the suspect left with an unknown amount of money.

The suspect is described as a Black male with an athletic build in his 20's, standing approximately six-feet tall. He is believed to have fled in a dark-colored Honda or Hyundai car.
